Black Art Student Empowerment First Annual Art Showcase:

"Justice or Else"

This art showcase makes history as the first Black/African American Art Showcase at VCU. Created for us by us. As the Vice President and co-founder of Black Art Student Empowerment (B.A.S.E) at VCU we had the vision to create an art showcase highlighting the artistic talents of black individuals of all disciplines at VCU. The result was a phenomenal event of visual art, performance, food and celebration! Hosted by Toliver "Lucky" Turner.

Justice or Else

The theme Justice or Else originated as a response to the injustices seen nationally and locally at VCU. Signs created and by VCU students at the events Standing in Solidarity with Mizzou and the Presidents Office Sit-in (both implemented by the movement Black VCU speaks) were hung on display.
